Dr. Alexis Kovacs, Psy.D., is a developmental neuropsychologist with almost 20 years of experience. She received specialized post-doctoral training at Children’s Hospital Boston/Harvard Medical School and focuses on the assessment of toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children (ages 1–13).
Dr. Kovacs has extensive expertise in evaluating autism spectrum disorders, learning disorders (including dyslexia), ADHD, social-emotional challenges such as anxiety and depression, and behavioral concerns. She also has specialized training in the behavioral treatment of anxiety and feeding disorders.
In addition to her assessment expertise, Dr. Kovacs has significant experience providing child therapy and working in schools, inpatient units, and residential facilities. This hands-on experience allows her to fully understand and tailor the practical recommendations she provides. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based practices that have been proven effective in helping children thrive.
Her professional background includes serving on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and holding staff positions at the Developmental Medicine Center at Children’s Hospital Boston and Boston Neuropsychological Services.
Dr. Kovacs is deeply committed to understanding each child’s unique needs and helping them achieve meaningful progress during their formative years. She provides families with a clear, comprehensive understanding of their child and identifies the tools needed for success at home, school, and in the community.
Outside of her work, Dr. Kovacs enjoys spending time with her family, including her three children, playing pickleball, and exploring new destinations through travel.
